About Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway
A modern electrified standard gauge railway linking landlocked Ethiopia to the sea. Replaced the 1917 French metre-gauge line. Carries the bulk of Ethiopian imports and exports to the port of Djibouti. One of the first electrified cross-border railways in Africa.
