About Bergen Line

Crosses the Hardangervidda, the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe. The highest point at Finse is 1,222 m, the highest mainline railway in the region. Passes through around 180 tunnels and battles some of the heaviest snowfall on any railway. A 7 hour live documentary about the line became a surprise television hit in 2009.
