About Mombasa-Nairobi SGR

Kenyas Standard Gauge Railway, the largest infrastructure project since independence. The Madaraka Express passenger service covers the route in about 5 hours, half the time of the old metre-gauge line. Built by Chinese contractors to Chinese standards. Later extended inland to Naivasha.
